Alternate Universe
Canon Point: A few months after the battle in the Keyblade Graveyard.
Background Link: Master Xehanort is a devious man full of evil plots, it doesn't change when he becomes a body snatcher.
AU Background: Essentially, Xehanort was utterly and completely successful in taking over Terra's body in the Keyblade Graveyard, and because of this Terra's armor never became the Lingering Will or tried to fight him. Instead of falling unconscious during Aqua and Ventus' destruction of the χ-blade he was prepared for it and rode the wave not to Radiant Garden but to Destiny Island where a young Riku was just waiting for a Keyblade Master to teach him.

He then made his way to Radiant Garden to reunite with Braig, referring to Riku as his son to all but the same select few he revealed his true identity to. He has since settled in with Ansem the Wise as an apprentice in order to use the world's resources to continue his study of the Darkness and his persuit of Kingdom Hearts.
